What this costs
Broker AI runs from R 1 600 a month for a small book to R 6 000 a month for a high-volume brokerage, with a free trial before you pay anything and a custom arrangement above that. You are charged for the documents you generate, not for the people who log in — every paid plan carries unlimited users. The plans below are the same ones the signup flow charges; this page explains what sits behind them, because a price with no explanation of what a unit buys is not a price you can budget against.

The plans
These are read from the same catalogue the signup and checkout flows use, so what is written here is what you are charged. Prices are in rand, excluding VAT where VAT applies, and the credit allowance is the monthly one.

Why it is priced per document and not per seat
Most software a brokerage buys is priced per user, which quietly punishes the thing you want to happen: more of your people using it. A brokerage that adds an administrator to help with paperwork pays more for the privilege of being better organised.
- 01Every paid plan here carries unlimited users. Adding an assistant, a second adviser or a compliance officer costs nothing extra.
- 02What you pay for is generation — the documents actually produced. A month where you write less costs the same as a month where you write more only up to your allowance, and the allowance is the number you pick.
- 03That also means the cost of a document is legible: you can look at a month’s output and say what it cost, which a per-seat licence never lets you do.
How the credit allowance works
A credit is one generation. The rules below are the ones printed under the plan cards on this site, and they are the only three you need to hold in your head.
- 01Monthly subscription credits reset every billing cycle. They are an allowance, not a balance you accumulate — an unused credit at month end does not roll into next month.
- 02Top-up credits never expire. If you buy extra credits they sit there until used, including across billing cycles.
- 03Monthly credits are spent first. Your subscription allowance is consumed before any top-up balance is touched, so a top-up is genuinely a reserve rather than something the system burns through first.
Which plan a brokerage actually needs
Pick by how many client documents you produce in a normal month, not by how many people you have. The tiers below are drawn from the same catalogue as the cards above.
Bronze — a starting or part-time book
Roughly one client document a working day. It suits an adviser writing new business steadily rather than in bursts, or a brokerage trialling the tools against real files before committing.
Silver — a steady full book
Covers a full-time adviser writing records of advice, needs analyses and comparisons as a matter of routine, plus the renewal season peaks that would otherwise push you over.
Gold — high volume, or a small team
Suits several advisers sharing one organisation, or a single high-volume writer. It is also the tier where custom logo management and early access to new tools sit.
Enterprise — larger groups
Above that the pricing is usage-based rather than a fixed monthly tier, with advanced access controls, custom templates and monthly organisation reporting. It is quoted rather than listed because the shape of the arrangement differs by group.
What the free trial actually gives you
Ten credits, once off, single user, with the full core toolset and document extraction — not a feature-limited demo. Ten generations is enough to run your own files through and judge the output on work you already know the right answer to.
- 01No card is required to start it.
- 02It is the same engine the paid plans use, so what you see in the trial is what you get afterwards.
- 03The honest way to use it: take a policy schedule you have already advised on, generate the record of advice, and read it against what you actually wrote. That is a far better test than any demo.
What to ask any vendor before you sign
These are the questions worth asking us and worth asking anyone else. We publish our answers; not every vendor in this market publishes theirs.
- 01What does a month cost at my actual volume, and what happens when I exceed it?
- 02Am I charged per user? If so, what does adding an administrator cost me?
- 03Is the software a licensed financial services provider, or a drafting tool? (We are the second — the adviser advises and signs. The regulatory page sets that out in full.)
- 04Where is client data stored and under what terms? Ours is on the security and privacy pages, published rather than sent on request.
- 05Can I see the pricing before booking a demo? As of 8 September 2026, brokerpilot.co.za publishes no pricing page — the path returns 404 — so the answer there is no.
Try it on your own files first
Ten credits, no card, the full toolset. Run a policy schedule you have already advised on and read the output against what you wrote yourself.
Frequently asked questions
- How much does Broker AI cost?
- From R 1 600 a month for 20 generations to R 6 000 a month for 100, with unlimited users on every paid plan and a free trial of 10 credits before you pay anything. Larger brokerages are quoted on usage rather than a fixed tier.
- Is Broker AI priced per user?
- No. Every paid plan carries unlimited users; you are charged for the documents generated, not for the people who log in. Adding an assistant or a compliance officer costs nothing extra.
- What is a credit?
- One credit is one generation — one record of advice, needs analysis, policy comparison or letter. Monthly subscription credits reset each billing cycle; top-up credits never expire and are only used after the monthly ones.
- Do unused credits roll over?
- Monthly subscription credits do not — they are an allowance that resets each cycle. Top-up credits bought separately never expire and are spent only after the monthly allowance is used.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes: 10 credits, once off, single user, no card required, with all core tools and document extraction. It runs the same engine as the paid plans.
- What does insurance broker software cost in South Africa generally?
- There is no published market rate, because most vendors in this market do not publish pricing at all — brokerpilot.co.za, the closest comparable, publishes no pricing page as of 8 September 2026. That is the main reason this page exists.
Prices on this page are read from the same tier catalogue the signup and checkout flows use, so they cannot drift from what you are charged. Broker AI (Pty) Ltd is not a licensed financial services provider: it drafts documents, and the adviser advises and signs. The regulatory page sets that out in full.
