Who builds Broker AI
Broker AI is built by Broker AI (Pty) Ltd, a South African software company in Cape Town. We make one thing: a drafting tool that turns the policy documents a broker already has into a FAIS-aligned Record of Advice, risk analysis or client letter. This page says who we are, what we are not — we are not a licensed FSP and we do not give advice — and how the compliance material on this site is kept accurate. Everything on it is checkable against the regulatory, security and legal pages linked at the bottom.

The registered details, so you can verify them rather than take our word for it. They are also on the terms and the PAIA manual.
Broker AI (Pty) Ltd
A private company incorporated in South Africa, registration number 2026/318666/07, trading as Broker AI. Address: 2 Niagara Road, Tygervalley, Cape Town, 7530.
Software as a service
One product, sold to South African insurance brokers. We are not a brokerage, not a compliance consultancy and not a law firm, and we do not sell insurance.
Registered with the Information Regulator
Registration number 2026-065219, registered 26 August 2026. The security page sets out how client documents are handled, and the PAIA manual names the Information Officer.
What we are NOT
This is the most important thing on the page, and it is not marketing modesty — it is the regulatory position, set out in full on the Broker AI and FAIS page.
- 01We are not a licensed financial services provider. Broker AI (Pty) Ltd holds no licence under the FAIS Act, does not render financial services, does not act as an intermediary, and does not furnish advice.
- 02The tool does not decide what is suitable for your client. It arranges and expresses the material you give it. Which product suits a client, and why, is the advice — and that remains yours.
- 03You stay the author of the Record of Advice. Where a transaction follows from the advice, section 9 of the General Code requires the record to reflect the basis on which YOU gave it — so nothing we generate is usable until you have read it and made it true.
- 04Nothing on this site is legal or compliance advice. The guides explain what the Act and the Code say and link the primary sources; they do not tell you what to do in a particular case.
Why we write the compliance guides
A drafting tool for FAIS documents is only worth anything if the people building it understand the provisions those documents have to satisfy. The guides on this site are how we show that work rather than assert it — and they are how you can check us before you trust the tool with a client file.
- 01Every guide cites the provision it is describing, and links the primary source: the Act as gazetted, the General Code as amended to Board Notice 706 of 26 June 2020, the Ombud Council Rules, the FSCA.
- 02They are written to be falsifiable. If we have a section number or an effective date wrong, the source is one click away and you can catch us at it — which is the point.
- 03The editorial standard page sets out how they are checked, how often, and what happens when the law moves.
Contact
For the product, your data and anything on this site: admin@brokerai.co.za. Use it for anything — a question about the product, a data-protection request under POPIA, or an error you have found in a guide. The PAIA manual sets out the formal access-to-information route and the Information Regulator’s own contact details.
Try it on your own documents
The honest test of a drafting tool is what it produces from a real policy schedule. Start a free trial, upload one, and read the Record of Advice against section 9 of the General Code.
